GiveOpp Projects for Global Cause

August 25, 2010

Combining philanthropic model with a business model and generating sustainability and profitability is quite a challenging and innovative thought. The top management at GiveOpp has come up with this idea and has generated quite a buzz.

They are currently receiving many applications for the leadership teams and it certainly opening up a lot of avenues for various people from all walks of life. With a July launch, the organization is still in its infancy but the support and enthusiasm along with collaboration with many non-profit organizations is certainly the bright side of the things.

There is a dramatic culmination of people across various cultures and geographic locations. Many of the projects are humanitarian solutions such as sustainable farms, clean water utilities, medical facilities for the disabled and the terminally ill, educational resources for children from financially backward sections of society, distribution of resources and food to those in need, environmental causes etc.

Most of these solutions help provide a better future and practical solutions to problems we are faced with in the present day. The CEO of GiveOpp Mark Cosby said that most of the members envision a world where every human being for generations to come can have a good quality of life with proper food and home.

This is a good start for those wanting to learn more about GiveOpp:

FTC Finally Sue Acai Berry Sellers!

August 14, 2010

The is a highly nutritional grape found in the amazon forest of Brazil. It has been a popular ingredient in both native and city dwellers diets for many years because of its great taste and many healthy benefits. Enjoyed as a smoothie or just alone, acai berry is common in Brazil, and now the rest of the world is becoming interested in this multi purpose berry, that both taste good and has many other qualities as a natural supplement to prevent disease and even burn fat.

Unfortunately, unless you have good friends in Brazil, it can be difficult to find this fruit. It is certainly not something you can find in your local convenience market or even supermarket. The problem is that the berry itself spoils very fast and must be frozen very fast (freeze drying) to preserve its qualities for use at a later time.

FTC strikes new blow in battle against Acai Berry Scams

The following news release was posted on the FTC website yesterday. It’s a much anticipated and necessary blow (although very late) in the battle against the plethora of Acai Berry Scams that have been preying on desperate consumers for nearly 2 years now.

The headline does sounds promising, but if you read the news release, you see they are announcing a lawsuit against a SINGLE COMPANY! There are dozens of companies participating in these scams. We do hope the message being sent will scare some others out of the business, but if prior such actions are any indication, we doubt it. Check back next week and we’ll have an update on the repercussions.
