What Is Acai Berry? Why Should I Care?

Both questions above are absolutely valid. There's a lot of hype concerning the acai berry and it's (alleged) positive health effects. Much of the hype is perpetuated by those people who might have a vested interest in seeing the acai berry continue to be popular. They are, perhaps, increasing the reach and extending the duration of what is undoubtedly an acai berry fad.

But is it really a fad in a negative sense? Is the acai berry something that we simply shouldn't be getting so excited about? Or is there really some truth behind the tall stories and reports?

The quick answer is 'yes'. There are sound medical reasons why acai berry is good for you. There is very good scientific evidence that the berry pulp could be called the world's number 1 superfood; finally there is excellent independent scientific evidence that unequivocally demonstrates that acai berry has a huge number of beneficial ingredients, all of which go some way to maintaining and improving our health.
